About

I grew up in a little town in wooded western NY state. I love good music, good coffee, and flannel, which makes me rather average as far as 20-something girls go. I am being sanctified daily by the gracious hand of my God. I am very far from being finished yet.

I began writing this blog in 2018. I had just moved away from home to go to court reporting school, and I wanted to keep my family and friends apprised of my doings while I was on my newest adventure. I wrote a lot about the people I met in my new little town and how cold it got that winter.

Since then, many more adventures have occurred, and some changes have happened here on the blog! One constant that has continued to grow in my heart is the desire to cultivate a lifestyle that is authentic, beautiful, nourishing to body and soul, a blessing to others, and glorifying to my Father in heaven, from Whom comes every good thing. It is my hope that I can share that delight with you all through recipes, DIY projects, spiritual reflections, and stories of the everyday as a freelance court reporter making my home in a little city apartment in Central Ohio, soon to be married and making a home with the man my soul delights to love. ❤

And yes, I do bake a lot of bread!

I hope you stick around, and I hope the things you find here bless and inspire you to live authentically and originally in the time and place He has ordained!

If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong, and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fall. – Isaiah 58:10-12
